Blue U hosted a booth at the St. Louis Park Family Science Night to provide middle and elementary school-aged learners the opportunity to experience real life application of STEM concepts in their local community. More than 500 families attended and had the opportunity to visit our booth and engage in hands-on activities with our volunteers. Braun Intertec and Kimley-Horn engineers volunteered at the event and helped kids construct K’nex bridges; Braun Intertec provided samples of materials they frequently work with for kids to see and touch; and the giant Jenga was a crowd favorite but needed supervision to make sure when it fell that it hit the floor and not a little one!

“Thank you so much for volunteering your time for out 6th annual Family Science Night. The parents and students of St. Louis Park truly appreciate you taking the time to help make STEM come alive.” – St. Louis Park teacher and event coordinator
