Blue U volunteers from Kimley-Horn and Braun Intertec helped facilitate mock interviews with junior and senior students at Osseo High School. The event hosted more than 75 students who sat down one on one with volunteers and received feedback on their interviewing skills.
Here’s what students had to say…
“Thank you for taking the time to meet with me yesterday. I greatly appreciate all of the advice and positive feedback you gave me. The next time I interview I will be sure to take your advice and incorporate more personal stories into my answers. The story you told me about your career options really inspired me and ensured me that I can do whatever I set my mind to.“
“I appreciate you taking time out of your day to come down and interview my Junior Class of 2017. I always liked designing literally anything and when I found out you do that for a living, it made me think of another back up.“
“I learned a lot from this opportunity about what a good interview looks and feels like. Some of the questions you asked were difficult to answer on the spot, but very helpful to hear. I will certainly use this information along with the advice that you passed on to me when I interview in the future. “
