This event was in collaboration with Transportation-YOU (T-YOU), a mentoring program through the Women in Transportation Studies (WTS) Minnesota chapter, and approximately 30 junior and senior students from Blaine High School visited the Twin Cities Kimley-Horn office to learn about the firm and what an engineering career path looks like. Blue U volunteers from Kimley-Horn presented on the following:
- What does Human Resources look like at an engineering firm and what do firms look for in potential candidates when hiring?
- How did I become interested in engineering and end up at Kimley-Horn?
- What does the day in the life of a structural engineer look like?
- Does a land development engineer do more than just math problems all day?
